The more inclusive, egalitarian and integrative society becomes in including men & women together, multiculturalism, etc the more segregated the family & church become as extended families break down, divorce increases, families through the encouragement of the state and church commit the "suicide of the west" via contraception. Also, society becomes increasingly divided along the lines of social class as ties to local institutions of schools, churches, rotary clubs etc break down and folks choose to live more in areas w/ neighbors of their own socioeconomic status.
